They are. I know of a patch which must be just about at their peak. I’ve been meaning to go and check them out. They were just shoots last time I went by.
I love how snowdrops will bury their heads when the temp drops too low for them. Then when it warms up they pop back up. I don’t have them where we live now because we aren’t in Michigan in late Feb. and March when they would come up.
So many sweet, beautiful snowdrops!
The more the merrier seems to work for snowdrops.
Yes, such sweet, welcome little flowers.
So well lit
The lighting was a gift.
So pretty! I have never seen snowdrops in central Maine. I suppose some people must have them in their gardens, but I have never seen them.
It may be that they are so short, they would barely top your snow, so they can’t use the sunlight to fatten.
Could be!
Wow, so lovely!
Thanks, Cathy.
They are such a welcome sight

Love your photos Susan that you are presenting so enticingly on this blog!
Thanks, Denzil.

Hellebores make me smile when it’s really icy. They do the same.
I didn’t know that – but I have never grown hellebores.
So beautiful! I love them!
