A lovely flower to look forward to in a few months.
Some of the creeping/tumbling campanulas are just about flowering still, but not this type.
They’re the same colour as my Jacaranda 💜
That’s a picture for my imagination!
Fairy hats hung out to dry! 🙂
Great idea!
It really is not possible to look at this and not hear them ringing. How beautiful!
They do have a beautiful shape – the corrugated buds too.
I had a hard time with those. I studied them and thought maybe perhaps possibly they were buds, but then maybe they were seed pods forming. So thanks! I’m glad to know. They are — to me — peculiar buds and therefore to be admired! A bud by any other shape….
Are these what you call bluebells? They’re beautiful; our ‘bluebells’ are a different genus and species, and not quite so bell-like in appearance.
No, or at least I would not. Those are Hyacinthoides non-scripta. Campanulas are sometimes called bellflowers or harebells, depending on the species.
Blue bells ringing.
They’d play a dainty tune.
Pretty little bells.
One of my favourites. They are fragile-looking but floriferous.
I had some campanula latifolia in my Cornish hedge for a few years, but it didn’t appear this year so I guess it died. A lovely plant.
As well composed as always
Thanks, Derrick.
Campanulas are a favourite in my garden…they flower over a long period and put up with less than ideal places. 🙂

They’re so varied too.
Very pretty with the raindrops 🙂
It’s surprising how those are holding on.
Oh so pretty 😀
Thanks, Cee.
I do love those sweet little flowers.
I’m glad.
