These berries would put a chameleon to shame – well, perhaps not, but who can resist a little hyperbole?
Pretty! I like the way they pep up the fall landscape.
Dogwood supplies some of the highlights here. The leaves have an artistic quality – they cling on in a melancholy way.
So pretty! Nice to see some color now that all our fall leaves have blown far away.
We haven’t much left now – mainly some of the beeches and oaks.
As nicely framed as always
I wonder if the berries change colour to attract a wider range of wildlife… those that don’t like the green have a chance with the white and, finally, the purple-blue.
