Lathyrus ‘Spencer Mix’ is sweet pea seed blend that includes white and dark flowers, and clear shades of pink, red, lilac and purple.
Sweet peas are sun lovers, but like their roots in cool, moist soil. They are usually grown for cutting: the more assiduously you pick the flowers, the more the plants will produce.
We have to imagine the fragrance. 🙂

Sweet peas, beautiful!! 😊🌟😊
Sweet peas are very evocative.
I can imagine the fragrance! What a lovely jumble of colors. Love the way you photographed them.
I filled the frame. 🙂
Beautiful colours 🙂
I thought so too.
Really beautiful! The colours are superb. Sweet peas are one of my favourite
flowers.
Some flowers carry associations better than others. Sweet peas are so summery.
It’s a pretty mix.
I like the speckled ones too.
Don’t they look as though they are all wiggling? It certainly shows what sweet peas can do, what with the colors and the wiggles. I think you captured their personality — lovely image!
They are all wiggling for attention, but I would hate to pick a favourite.
Ooh lovely ❤💜
In the language of flowers they mean blissful pleasure. 🙂
Oooh…what a true delight ❤
Oh these are so beautiful ;D
They aren’t the most fragrant ones, but they are scented and a few stems is enough to make a posy.
These are lovely. I didn’t sow any this year as I have had disappointing results the last two, but I do miss that scent and bringing a small posy into the house during these summer months. Maybe I’ll have another try next year, but plant them in a container instead of the ground.
It’s funny, isn’t it, how our gardening decisions at the start of this year appear in retrospect. We have rarely analysed them so much. It would have been a joy for you to have regular posies to bring inside this year and you’d have been around more to fuss over them.
I have never been keen on annuals, but I’d have loved some more this year.
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
