A bed of tulips underplanted with snapdragons, themselves underplanted by pansies, offered a subject too colourful to resist.
A dull, still day would have been less of a challenge, but I loved how the tulips glowed with the sun behind them and danced on the wind.
The flowers were grown as disposable bedding, valiantly playing their part in a sequence of plantings designed to brighten up a retail area.
While it is tempting to add pictures showing what became of them, for now at least, I’ll content myself with these cheerful ones.
Shared for Cee’s Flower of the Day.
Those tulips look as though they are dancing. Impressive how they were planted for a retail area. Someone associated with the area must love flowers.
Well… yes, but no, as a TV character here is famous for saying. They had a job to do and were doing it well.
Sigh.
These are all so beautiful.
Thanks, Bridgette.
Looking at such beautiful photos, I understand why you could not resist the temptation of getting your camera into action.
I could have loitered there much longer, but it was directly outside a bank and I didn’t want people to think I had nefarious intentions.
Haha!
‘Disposable bedding’… what a concept! Sounds positively American, ha! 😉
You hit the nail on the head!
😉 My only hope is the collective wakes up to the environmental cost of such profligancies.
Beautiful garden 😀 😀 So full of color!!
It was eye-catching and uplifting to see.
Oh, bless! We all of us must depart at some point. Good that they gave such pleasure before their demise 🤗❤️
You and Eliza are very gently teasing me, but I rest my defence with today’s post!
“disposable bedding” – sounds so depressing. Such pretty flowers too.
Be sure to avoid today’s post then!
This is such a vibrant, cheerful post. So full of energy!
You’re right – you can sense the power of the sun’s energy when you look at the flowers.
Such wonderful captures. Looks so amazing 🙂
Thank you – I’m glad you liked them.
Very pretty!!
Thanks!
