I should say so! And what would we do without our wheelbarrows?
I suppose we’d have to drag stuff on a tarp. I can see the string rolling off though. 🙂
Tarps have their place, but they are no substitution for a wheelbarrow.
There is so much to admire here: the thick wood of the tools, the bend of the bag, the upright tools at the ready — what stories in a wheelbarrow!
They’re classic tools. East Ruston garden is owned by taste makers who have the resources and temperaments to do things well.
It’s a wonderful garden…one of my favourites and not too far away. We tend to choose it for special days – birthdays etc. 🙂
I can see why you would choose it for a treat. It’s a bit of a trek from Lancashire, so I’ve only been once, but it was memorable.
I am always very tempted to say it is the Hidcote of its day. You get a feel for the garden being actively made.
Yes, there always seems to be some new development – part of the excitement of going there!
Looks as though someone is going to have to work very hard!
At least they are not going to have to keep walking to and fro from the shed.
Ready for anything!
I have an illogical desire for that rope, even though I have no need for it.
Of needs and desires, desires are definitely more exciting. 😉
Some one is ready for work!
It looks like it needs an upper story.
It seems that most viewers are primarily aware of this as a collection of gardening tools. My first reaction was ,’What an interesting assortment of shapes and patterns!’
It’s a good thing that our minds don’t all work the same. 🙂
All set for a day of gardening, looks like!
I don’t know about that… I don’t see any Battenberg cake.
Not sure what that is, but if it’s a kind of cake I’m up for it.
It’s sponge cake in a pink and yellow check pattern with jam and a thin coating of almond paste. My mum and sister have found a really good source, although the last few weeks it has dried up (the source, not the cake).
Good, I don’t like a dry cake.
Absolutely gorgeous home page! Love your new theme. Shows off your photography very well.
