Lovely
Thanks, Derrick.
I believe “sharp intake of breath” describes my reaction to this. “Wordless” is exactly right. Except for WOW.
It’s a garden designed to show off particular cultivars of plants to their best. I wish I’d made a note of the Black-eyed Susan at the front. It’s a stunner.
These are wonderful gardens
We especially liked the Foggy Bottom bit.
Lots to look at. Are they white hydrangeas?
Yes – they are Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’. It’s an old cultivar popularised by Adrian Bloom of Bressingham. The way they grow there it is perhaps unusual – it is pruned back to the ground each year and looks great for it!
Nice!
Thanks, David.
How funny! I wonder where YOUR Foggy Bottom is? Ours (U.S.) is a neighborhood in Washington, D.C.!
Lovely flowers. I wonder what the blues ones are.
It’s some form of agapanthus.
Both the garden and the photo – stunning 🙂
I’ve just Googled and found out where this is and what a coincidence – I was down in Norfolk for ten days just recently (got back a week ago) and if I’d known about this garden I would have gone for a visit. Definitely one for next year though! I did go to this one –

which is very unique and well worth a visit if you’ve never been before
We were on the way to East Ruston when we called in at Bressingham. 🙂
East Ruston is a lovely garden isn’t it? I’ve been twice now and still not seen it all 🙂
Yes, it’s the Hidcote of today, to my mind.
Thanks Susan for this beautiful offering; my immediate reaction was… Ahh. A lovely insertion in a wet and grey week.
It is cheery, I agree. We’ve been lucky here with quite a few blue sky days this week.
great composition… lovely!
It was so bright that I had to seek out some shade.
