   1. My mother and sister took me to Lytham Hall to see the snowdrops. I was not expecting their garden centre to be as colourful and cheerful as it was, thanks to a primula-style coat of many colours.

   1. I’ve been noticing and enjoying the relaxed approach plants take to symmetry. It’s often much more fluid than we’d expect. This is a good example.
