They have a long period of interest, I agree, and are great for gardens. You’ve made me wonder what my favourite type of tree is. I’d probably have to say the humble sycamore, although they are pretty much treated as weeds.
Is that a redbud? I love the heart shaped leaves. We had one that was that color for several years but one year it didn’t survive the winter.
