I’ve never seen one of these. How absolutely lovely.
I have not seen many and certainly none in Lancashire.
Wow!! Such an amazing image of the beautiful butterfly!
It’s a spectacular one.
How beautiful. Where did you photograph it?
You would think I would remember, wouldn’t you? If I find out, I’ll let you know. I would imagine it was in a butterfly house.
Gorgeous that one is.
The book I most regret not buying was a big heavy one, all pictures of butterfly wings, showing their detail.
Gorgeous butterfly and a great photo 🙂
The tropical ones make our little ones seem almost drab in comparison.
Stunning! 👌
Thank you 🙂
Be still my trembling heart. What a beauty! I’ve never seen an emerald swallowtail, but how I would love to.
Apparently we’d need citrus trees to host the caterpillars, but those don’t do too well in our climates.
Wow! That’s beautiful!
I have tiny red moths in my back garden, as for the last couple of years, but they don’t seem to be doing too well. I wonder if it is the weather. We had hailstones yesterday.
I too am wordless. Its beauty is shocking.
The young caterpillars mimic bird droppings and smell nasty, so it’s a game of two halves as football pundits often say.
Euw.
Green on green but not really camouflaged is it!
It seems to be suggesting any potential eater will get an electric shock or something equally nasty.
