And comes now another reason to swoon over buds — they show how masterful the coloring of the full bloom, which so often holds only a hint of the bud color. These are wonderful! I was stopped cold by that white rose, but all of them lifted me up. Thank you!
Very true. The tiny pink rambler buds are my favourites here. They’re full of attitude, in a good way.
Gorgeous colours. What beautiful roses. Thanks for sharing. Lifted my day!😊🌹
I’m very glad to hear it.
What a wonderful post to open up on another very grey day here in Michigan. I especially like the Wollerton Old Hall photo. It looks like a gentle sunset. Thanks, Susan.
My pleasure, Pat. There is a lovely warmth about that one.
Brought a burst of summer into this Maine house on a chilly December morning.
It’s a pity we northerners can’t open the door in the winter for the summer to pour in. In our imaginations, perhaps.
Dreamy. Thanks Susan
The rambler on the arbour is about as dreamy as a rose gets.
Lovely
Thank you.
😊
Those are some great soft colors.
Thanks, David. As soon as I saw the subject I knew what I’d have to go with!
Now that everything looks a bit grey here in Switzerland (except for the Christmas lights, of course), your roses look heavenly!!
I’ve seen some very attractive Christmas lights this season – string ones, with bigger bulbs and a pure, warm glow.
Lovely series of roses. It is such a beautiful flower (Suzanne)
Thanks, Suzanne. Roses will always be close to my heart.
I swear I could smell them through the screen! Lovely.
Imagination can work wonders with a little prompt!
