[D] Very witty!
I never find it easy to take pictures of dahlias – luckily, these were handed to me on a plate.
Fabulous!
Wonderful composition. Truly inspired.
It was part of the National Dahlia Society Northern Committee’s display at the Southport Flower Show. Designing by committee never looked better!
I love it!
So much fun. 😀
They had made dahlia cup cakes too but I didn’t get a decent picture, so I’ll have to leave those to your imagination.
Gracious! That beats play-dough food!
Oh, I don’t know about that – I loved your home made toy food.
beautiful
creative!
Love the combination of food for the eyes and mouth
I can’t help looking at this as if they had real fruit flavours and imagining which one I’d pick. I think I’d try the peachy/apricot one… or perhaps the raspberry ripple…
What a tribute to the unexpected! Thank you!
According to the BBC, dahlias were brought to England so their roots could be eaten but when the Victorians saw their flowers, they switched to growing them for decoration.
No kidding!? I’m so glad the Victorians changed their minds on that!
🙂
How cool! I’ll have that blackcurrant sorbet at the rear 🙂
