They seem engineered – tiny landing strips for insects. Heathrow would be delighted to have so many runways.

They are so pretty close up. Lovely shots.
It’s a different world when you go close up – these shots perhaps give a false impression of the effect in the garden, but they do show how tiny flowers can have all the beauty of bigger ones.
Gorgeous photos! Mine planted in the garden never made it after the first year, I think they are good slug food!! I have two in pots that have had much more success…. hope to arrive home to some flowers!

Glorious. I’ve struggled with mine and they haven’t come up this year. Will try again.
They’re one of those plants you often see described online as ‘easy to grow’ – I’d say that translates to ‘easy to grow if you have just the right conditions for them’.
