Loved this post showing the various plant combinations, thank you Susan!
I’m glad you liked them.
All the more beautiful on a dreary December day! I particularly covet the white phlox, but the Monarda and Eupatorium (sounds like a law firm) have undeniable personality — they look as though they can’t wait to reach up and tickle somebody.
The law firm flowers look like they might make a good winter scarf… except for the tickling, that is.
What wonderful combinations! And I’m with Oddment. All the more beautiful on a dreary December day.
Or a snowy one!
Yes, yes! Although snow does have its own beauty.
Another garden I have yet to visit!
Trentham has an interesting mix of planting and styles.
Lovely combinations! Summer dreaming. 😉
That’s it! 🙂
Stunning!
Thanks, Judith.
There are some unusual colour combinations and flower shapes there. I like the Monarda and Eupatorium (Joe Pye Weed) the best.
Those seem to nestle together very nicely.
Beautiful
Thanks, Carol.
These are lovely! They lift my spirits and carry my thoughts past winter and into next summer. 🙂
We appreciate colour more at this time of year.
Now in December we chime in and sing ‘Where have all the flowers gone …’
True, but it’s also the time we’re dreaming of what to plant for next year. 🙂
Lovely colour combinations. I went in September last year and was very impressed.
It has a long season of interest. I’d love to be there in the snow… although I’d not want to drive there in the snow.
Such great colour combination and lovely flowers, Susan.
I haven’t felt very seasonal recently, as if my imagination is still wrapped up in some of the summer gardens I’ve not posted about yet.
Have to wait for those future posts 👍🏼
