Hellebores are absolutely gorgeous up-close. I love their colours and each detail of the stamens and petals……and so much variety.
They can be very generous plants and seem surprisingly adaptable.
An interesting way of displaying blooms which hang their heads
It was perhaps a step too far to claim these are floating – they are in enough water to keep them fresh. They do last for some time, if you can bear to cut them.
Wow. I had no idea that hellebores wore a ruff, which shows so splendidly in that top photo. Beautiful!
That one is either an Elizabethan or hoping for a job in a circus.
Fantastic! The perfect gift for Valentine’s Day!
Little plant jewels!
Exquisite!
These are some of the highlights from a plantsman’s collection, but I’ve never seen a hellebore I did not like.
So beautiful flowers!!!
You never know how lovely they are from looking at the backs of the flowers.
Lovely!
Thanks, Liz.
So lovely!
I never tire of hellebores.
Or flowers of any kind!
Lovely.
I wonder how many years of plant breeding and how many different breeders are represented in this one dish?
