I’m instinctively drawn to the creative districts of cities I visit. Places where the community can still somehow support one of those long, dim shops selling art materials and postcards.
So, with just a few spare hours in St Petersburg, FL, I found myself in the arts district, staring at the back walls of an alley, covered in weird and wonderful street art, like this.
It’s part of an (informal, of course) outdoor gallery of graffiti, but I won’t spoil the surprise by posting more: go along and see it for yourself while it’s still there.
You’ll find the street art behind Central Avenue, roughly between 6th and 7th Streets North, not far from the Morean Arts Center.
I suggest you leave the car behind and allow time to explore St Pete’s boutiques, galleries, venues, bars and eateries on foot.
Great post and I love the graffiti ❤
Inspiring!!
