While I didn’t get the effect I was hoping for, fate has granted this picture a floral, textural, whirly, fantasy feel that has something going for it. I don’t know if the perspective makes it dreamy or nightmarish, but I do like the way the colours work together and the sweeping of the grasses. Yesterday afternoon we felt very fortunate to be able to preview the flower show that is being held from 10-12th June at the RHS’s lovely Harlow Carr Garden. I’m sure it’s not a coincidence that the show is timed during the flowering of their blue poppies (meconopsis).
