Enveloped in roses
This week’s photo challenge is enveloped. Once happily established, a climbing rose will cover its support, then smother it with blooms. Rosarians explain that the trick is to match the potential size of the plant with the scale of the structure you want to clothe. Choose a rose that is too vigorous and you’ll have the heartbreak of cutting many healthy flowering stems away. Get it right and you’re in for a treat!

Border at Kiftsgate Court
My recent post on Hidcote’s red border – and seeing so many pictures of tulips appearing in my Reader – inspired me to share this picture. It shows another colour themed planting, this time at Kiftsgate Court Gardens.
I believe this is the yellow border, pictured here early in the season – thought it does looks more like chocolate, orange and lime in this view, so perhaps you know differently! - Help bloggers discover your post in The Reader
- Place sign posts on your blog so visitors can find other content that interests them while they’re there
- Organise your blog and link posts by subject matter
- Review what you’ve achieved so far and plan where you’re going
