Having woken up from a night of weird, news-related dreams, I thought I’d look for something more cheery to post, working within Becky’s guidelines (must be square pictures featuring triangles, squares, arches or other geometric forms). So here’s my mix of contrasting patterns and architectural features that have clean, traditional or funky styles – and, of course, with a smattering of flowers along the way.

Gosh, that ferry most definitely dazzled!
Weird to think it acts as camouflage, but definitely artistic.
You have a photo for everything! What fun! Yes, most definitely a nice break from the nightmarish news. Of course, “Liver Birds” stumped me at first but I spotted them and then looked them up. All the things I learn from you! Bodnant is other-worldly, as usual. Those wine-colored lily buds (!) among the white roses are full of hope. Thank you! It’s good to find you here again!
As I learn from you. The Liver Birds are a symbol of the city, but I dare say you discovered that.
oh these are wonderful – great colours
Thanks for the inspiration – otherwise most of these would never have seen the light of day.
oh that’s lovely to hear – always help when a challenge allows photos to emerge
I can see that hunting these out would be a great distraction, Susan. Love the ferry and Liver Birds shot!
It was good luck to catch the ferry and the legendary birds in the same shot.
Great photos. I went to Liverpool a few times in 2023 but never saw that ferry, it’s certainly very colourful 😊
I always look out for it.
Very well done
Thanks, Derrick.
You nailed it.
Thanks!
Great!
I’m glad you liked them.
I’m reading about the horrible storms over your part of the world and hoping that you and your family have not been hard hit. So many without power!
We are fine, thank you. Ireland was badly hit and I have just been reading that Scotland’s tallest tree was destroyed in Edinburgh.
I’m glad to know you are all OK. The few pictures I’ve seen have been alarming. Poor Ireland!
