Weekly Photo Challenge: Deckchair Danger!

Deckchair danger

I’ve long been treasuring a snap of a box of sugar with the handwritten message ‘Be careful, spills easily’ on it, which somehow piques my sense of humour, but sadly, it isn’t on this computer.

So how about this picture of an impractical deckchair? It does have several different warnings: the colour scheme for one. Then there’s the liberal application of the do-not-cross tape, the red cushion emblazoned with ‘Danger Do Not Sit’, and the graphic that seems to be  warning of a lightening bolt.

Getting your fingers trapped is the main potential issue if my experience is anything to go by, but is that mentioned? No.

If this has got you in the mood for going out on a limb, you might like to take a look at other bloggers’ interpretations of Danger! or share something yourself.

  1. Ever since being a child I’ve never been able to understand the attraction of deckchairs – they must be the most dangerous pieces of ‘furniture’ ever invented, and they aren’t particularly comfortable either 😦

  2. That’s hilarious! I think hammocks should be similarly adorned — I never met one that wasn’t a threat to life and limb.

    1. I’ve never had much access to hammocks. Perhaps as well if your experience is anything to go by. This deckchair was one of several customised by artists for one of the flower shows – I forget which.
