I wanted to give a meadowy feeling, although it was more of a flower border.
Love love love bees 🐝
I rarely see a coneflower without one nearby – long may that last!
what kind of flower is it? Beautiful!
It’s a form of Echinacea purpurea (purple coneflower). Bees love them.

Thank you!
Great composition!
I like all the ‘distractions’ in this shot – the way they pull the eye around before you return to the bee.
I am so jealous of these. My echinacea never look this good. I don’t see many bees on them, and I think that’s because they congregate on the Speedwell nearby. Finches visit, however, and bob around on the seeds.
A finch in the echinaceas is worth a bee on the speedwell. I can’t believe I just wrote that – sorry!
What’s to be sorry about? That was a good one, and I thank you for the laugh!
I can easily imagine you and I giggling about it, but anyone else…?
Blending nicely
Thanks, Derrick.
Great composition, Susan!
Thanks, Peter.

Well, maybe the finches and the bees.
