The main aim was to try to pass the chocolate mushrooms off as real ones, but I can’t tell if anyone has fallen for it. The gnome was an afterthought. Reply
Thanks, Peter. This was taken on open moorland, though it’s hard to see from the crop – hence the moss and turkey tail mushrooms. Reply
They were too shiny to be completely convincing, and also one-sided. A bit of fun though before we ate them. Reply

Eek, chocolate mushrooms? I was too distracted by gnome alone 🤣💟
I thought they were fake, but I never imagined they were chocolate, so they were safe from me.
His pipe and those mushrooms are the best! What an inviting little world there!
Was it evident that the mushrooms are chocolate?
Really? No! Oh, that’s even better!
Cute! And those mushrooms are fabulous.
They tasted good too (being chocolate truffles, not the deadly kind).
Wowsah!
Cute garden decoration!
