Travel Word’s Life In Colour Challenge: Blue Buildings

Strand Theatre facade, Duval Street, Key West

When HeyJude suggested this topic, my hopes were not high of having any pictures of blue buildings in my archives, but I did find a few, assuming turquoise counts. These are all from the colourful Southern States of America.

  1. Shack up Inn looks fab. As do the bird houses. And yes turquoise and teal count / blue – greens was one of my weekly suggestions so you fulfilled two in one here.

  2. How light-hearted serious blues can be! And on bird houses, no less! I don’t know which I like better, the glass doorknob one or the polka-dot one, so I’ll like them both best. I was pretty chuffed to guess right about where they are.

    1. You have a whole new window to look through now. Every now and again Suzie repaints the birdhouses and these are refurbished versions. Does she use masking tape? That would be quite a picture, if so.

  3. Fantastic! I particularly liked the bird house with the doorknob. There are some blue houses in Maine, but they tend to be much more sedate. Maine is, after all, in New England. 😉

  4. Can’t go wrong with blue. You need to head to Newfoundland, Canada, for its beautiful and colourful buildings. Love the bird house as well.

    1. A couple of years ago I was taking them a lot quicker than I could post them, but I’ve been very grateful for that the last few months. 🙂
