I like the image, the title made me think of hand rolling tobacco.
Nature was being generous with colour.
Simply beautiful.
Canna leaves have a great way of capturing light and letting it transform them.
Groan. Wonderful photo, though!
Well, it is gold… and it is a leaf.
Lovely variegation… Canna?
Yes, it’s a canna from our last trip to The Antique Rose Emporium.

I’m sorry Thom. Thanks for leaving the comment. It seems to be a browser issue. I am using Firefox at the moment rather than Safari, which insists on signing me out when I don’t want it to.
Wonderful texture, wonderful light.

Yes!
I thought tobacco, too.
You’ve reminded me of Wreckless Eric giving me his autograph on the gold lining of his Benson & Hedges packet after asking for it as a youngster and not having a pen or any paper.
🙂
I love the lines and colours!

Aren’t shadows wonderful? They can either be a supporting cast or even the main event at times!
I was guessing Canna also. Amazing how their leaves seem so substantial and translucent at the same time.

They are the plant version of light catchers.
