We visited Yorkshire Lavender a couple of days ago and it was impossible to get a decent bee picture (with my iPhone and my skill level). The bees were too excited and busy to keep still.

Sorry, I don’t. It was growing at Trentham Gardens and I don’t think I could have got a picture of them without a bee if I’d tried!
I second Heyjude — “noodling for pollen” is wonderful! Ditto the photos! That top one in particular is a feast of detail, and I love the layers in it. Thanks!
I think the bee noodling the helenium is a red-tailed bumblebee, though I’m not expert enough to be sure.
