Such subtle detail in a hellebore; beautiful photo!
Thank you.
I’ve been having a great time photographing hellebores over past 2 weeks – they are amazing – this one looks really interesting- what is the name ?
That sounds wonderful! It’s one of the Ashwood Nursery Hybrids – an unnamed seedling so far as I know. This was just a single flower, floating with others in water during one of their open days.
Gorgeous!
I imagine this one is really exciting if you’re a breeder.
Nearly every color in the spectrum. That is pretty amazing.
I’ve never seen one like it before.
Love the purple edges of the petals and the deep green.
It looks like it’s been deftly painted, doesn’t it?
Beautiful. I love those edges.
I’ve cropped it more tightly than I perhaps ought to have to show the detail. Your favourite macro lens would have come in handy!
You’ve reminded me I need to do my five-minute regular random shoot!
Awesome, Susan
It’s subtle but still very decorative.
What a portrait of centeredness. Thank you!
It was floating in a sea of others, but I ruthlessly expunged any encroaching petals so we could appreciate its singularity.
Brilliant.
Breathtaking capture of a beautiful Hellebore! I have Hellebore ‘Shooting Star’, but would love to own this one.
‘Shooting Star’ is lovely. That’s the trouble with hellebores – they are addictive.
that’s really a very extraordinary helebore and I have seen quite a lot of them. Fantastic photo
I agree. There are several things all coming together in one flower – the ruffled, semi-double effect, the smattering of freckles and the vein effect of the shading and the stamens.
